Sphaerioides yixianensis

Taxonomy
Tetoria yixianensis was named by Gu (1976). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Tianjin Institute of Geology, 80LpX73. Its type locality is Liying, Luanping, which is in a Barremian/Aptian marine horizon in the Yixian Formation of China. It is the type species of Sphaerioides.

It was recombined as Sphaerioides yixianensis by Yu and Zhang (1982).

Synonyms
  • Sphaerioides luanpingensis was named by Yu and Zhang (1982). It is not extant.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Sphaerioides yixianensis by Gu et al. (1997).
