Taxonomy
Tumefactipes prolongates was named by Chen et al. (2019). Its type specimen is EMTG BU-001232, a nymph, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (EMTG collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar. It is the type species of Tumefactipes.
