Chasicotatus peiranoi
Taxonomy
Chasicotatus peiranoi was named by Esteban and Nasif (1996). Its type specimen is PVL 4796, an osteoderm (77 placas fijas, cinco móviles completas, once móviles sin la tecla y numerosos fragmentos de ambas; todas correspondientes a un mismo ejemplar.), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Northern region of Cajon Valley, which is in a Huayquerian terrestrial horizon in the El Morterito Formation of Argentina.
