Ancylotheriopus tanzaniae
Taxonomy
Ancylotheriopus tanzaniae was named by Guérin (1987). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Laetoli footprint C.11, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Laetoli Footprint-C, which is in a Zanclean/Piacenzian eolian horizon in the Vogel River Series Formation of Tanzania. It is the type species of Ancylotheriopus.
