Taxonomy
Archivesica georgemoorei was named by Amano and Kiel (2007). Its type specimen is UCMP 55517, a shell, and it is a mold. Its type locality is Sitkalidak Island, which is in an Oligocene marine horizon in the Sitkalidak Formation of Alaska.
