Taxonomy
Myacites baconicus was named by Bittner (1901). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vörösberény, Hungary, which is in a Pelsonian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Felsõörs Formation of Hungary.
It was recombined as Anodontophora (Myacites) baconicus by Ogilvie Gordon (1927).
