Oncorhynchus rastrosus
Taxonomy
Smilodonichthys rastrosus was named by Cavender and Miller (1972). It is extant. Its type specimen is UO 26799, a partial skeleton (skull with jaws and articulated anterior gill arches). Its type locality is UO locality 2250 Gateway, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial gravel/sandstone in the Madras Formation of Oregon. It is the type species of Smilodonichthys.
It was recombined as Oncorhynchus rastrosus by Fierstine et al. (2012).
