Allocavia chasicoense
Taxonomy
Allocavia chasicoense was named by Pascual (1962). Its type specimen is MMP 580 (M), a maxilla (Porcion palatal de los maxilares, con p• - M1 derecho~, y p• izquierdo), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cauce Arroyo Chasico, frente al campo de Felipe Stefanazzi, which is in a Chasicoan terrestrial horizon in the Arroyo Chasicó Formation of Argentina.
