Taxonomy
Oryctocephalites rasettii was named by Sundberg and McCollum (1997). Its type specimen is USNM 493383 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM Locality 41077, which is in a Delamaran marine horizon in the Pioche Shale Formation of Nevada.

Nine thoracic segments each with long, cylindrical spine. Pygidium with 3 pairs of cy­ lindrical spines.
