Taxonomy
Adulomya hamuroi was named by Amano and Kiel (2011). Its type specimen is JUE 15857, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shimosasahara, which is in a Miocene/Miocene marine horizon in the Higashibessho Formation of Japan.
