Cyphaspis boninoi
Taxonomy
Cyphaspis boninoi was named by Van Viersen and Holland (2016) [Paratype. IRSNB a13020, pygidium]. Its type specimen is IRSNB a13019, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Resteigne quarry, Hanonet Fm, unit 1, which is in an Eifelian shallow subtidal limestone/shale in the Hanonet Formation of Belgium.
