Taxonomy
Chondrides recurva was named by Parker and Dawson (1965). Its type specimen is LACM PB-1542 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sepulveda Boulevard tunnel, south entrance, which is in a Miocene marine sandstone in the Modelo Formation of California.
