Taxonomy
Omaliella polonica was named by Dvořák et al. (2019). Its type specimen is MP ISEA I-F/MP/8/1676/17, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Leszczyny-Czerwionka slag heap, which is in a Westphalian B terrestrial shale in Poland.
