Taxonomy
Passandra plenaria was named by Kirejtshuk et al. (2019). Its type specimen is MTM Nel 3036, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Menat (MNT collection), which is in a Selandian crater lake diatomite in the Menat Formation of France.
