Taxonomy
Cyrene (Corbicula) sookensis was named by Clark and Arnold (1923). Its type specimen is CAS 586 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kirby Creek, east, which is in a Chattian marine sandstone in the Sooke Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Corbicula sookensis by Weaver (1943), Durham (1944), Hendy (2020).
