Metacoxites ventritalis
Taxonomy
Metacoxites ventritalis was named by Kirejtshuk (2019). Its type specimen is NHMUK In.26131, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bembridge Marls (Hooley coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Metacoxites.
