Chasicomys octodontiforme
Taxonomy
Chasicomys octodontiforme was named by Pascual (1967). Its type specimen is MLP 55-IV-28-1, a mandible (porcion di rama mandibular izquierda con el incisivo y m1-m2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Barrancas del Arroyo Chasicó, which is in a Chasicoan terrestrial horizon in the Arroyo Chasicó Formation of Argentina.
