Taxonomy
Alatospermum lakense was named by Chandler (1962). It is not extant. Its type locality is Lower Bagshot - Lake near Poole, which is in a Ypresian fluvial lignite/sandstone in the Bagshot Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Alatospermum.
