Taxonomy
Draconodus was named by Tomida (1982) [genus considered valid by Van Valen 1994, contra unpublished synonymy of Williamson 1985]. It is not extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Picrodus by Williams (1985).

It was assigned to Picrodontidae by Tomida (1982), McKenna and Bell (1997), Scott and Fox (2005) and Burger (2013).
