Europolemur was named by Weigelt (1933). It is not extant.

It was assigned to Primates by Simpson (1940); to Adapinae by Hooker (1986); to Adapidae by McKenna and Bell (1997); and to Cercamoniinae by Gunnell and Miller (2001), Franzen (2004).

Synonyms

Alsatia was named by Tattersall and Schwartz (1983).

It was synonymized subjectively with Europolemur by Godinot (1998), Franzen (2004).
