Ageitodendron was named by Gunnell (1995). It is not extant. Its type is Ageitodendron matthewi.
It was assigned to Mytoniina by Gunnell (1995); to Omomyidae by McKenna and Bell (1997); to Ourayiini by Muldoon and Gunnell (2002); and to Utahiini by Gunnell and Rose (2002).
