It was assigned to Limnotheriidae by Hay (1902); to Anaptomorphidae by Osborn (1902); to Omomyinae by Simpson (1940); to Washakiini by Szalay (1976); to Omomyidae by Marsh (1872), McKenna and Bell (1997); to Macrotarsiini by Muldoon and Gunnell (2002), Gunnell and Rose (2002); and to Omomyinae by Wortman (1904), Robinson (1968), Honey (1990), Murphey and Dunn (2009).
