Taxonomy
Crassiproetus neoturgidus was named by Lieberman (1994). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Schoharie, Onondaga Limestone, NY, which is in an Eifelian deep subtidal shelf limestone in the Onondaga Formation of New York.
