Taxonomy
Subparictis was named by Wang and Tedford (1992) [named as subgenus by Clark and Guensburg 1972; first use as genus].

It was synonymized subjectively with Parictis by McKenna and Bell (1997), Hunt (1998).

It was assigned to Arctoidea by Wang and Tedford (1992); and to Subparictidae by Korth et al. (2022).
