Taxonomy
Scleriocarya tribrachteata was named by Chandler (1963). It is not extant. Its type locality is Highcliffs sands/Cliff End Beds, near Mudeford, which is in a Bartonian marginal marine sandstone/sandstone in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Scleriocarya.
