Taxonomy
Neoschisma cornutum was named by McKellar (1969). Its type specimen is UQ F11119 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nerimbera Quarry, Lakes Creek Siding, Rockhampton, which is in a Kungurian marine horizon in the Berserker Formation of Australia.
