Cryptophilus britannicus
Taxonomy
Telmatophilus britannicus was named by Kirejtshuk and Kurochkin (2019). Its type specimen is NHMUK I.10264, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bembridge Marls (Brodie coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Cryptophilus britannicus by Lyubarsky and Perkovsky (2020), Lyubarsky et al. (2024).
