Taxonomy
Chione permagna was named by Tate (1900). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cat's Ears, which is in a Miocene/Miocene coastal sandstone in French Southern Territories.
It was recombined as Frigichione permagna by Fletcher (1938).
