Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
M. Vucetich et al. 2015Teeth high-crowned but rooted, with unilateral hypsodonty, particularly in upper molars; no cement on crowns; crown pattern of unworn cheek teeth essentially resembling that of Neoreomys, also basically similar to that of Platypittamys but with P4/4 much more advanced than in the latter; pattern disappearing fairly rapidly with wear, much less persistent than in Neoreomys; enamel interrupted on lingual and anterior sides of lower teeth and buccal and posterior sides of upper teeth after considerable wear (only cheek teeth; Wood and Patterson
1959).
