Proteropithecia neuquenensis

Taxonomy
Propithecia neuquenensis was named by Kay et al. (1998). Its type specimen is MLP 91-IX-1-125, a tooth (Right m1 or m2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cañadon del Tordillo, which is in a Colloncuran terrestrial tuff in the Collón Cura Formation of Argentina.

It was recombined as Proteropithecia neuquenensis by Kay et al. (1999) and Kay et al. (1999).
