Taxonomy
Glossus (Meiocardia) susukii was named by Squires and Advocate (1986). Its type specimen is UCLA 48427a, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CSUN 662, Orocopia Mountains, which is in a Ypresian offshore shale in the Maniobra Formation of California.
It was recombined as Meiocardia susukii by Hendy (2020).
