Mukupirna nambensis
Taxonomy
Mukupirna nambensis was named by Beck et al. (2020). Its type specimen is AMNH FM 102646 (previously QMAM 168), a partial skeleton (badly crushed cranium and associated partial postcranial skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lake Pinpa Site C, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Namba Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Mukupirna.
