Taxonomy
Waagenophyllum polyseptata was named by Minato (1955). Its type specimen is UHR 15526 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tsukitate, Motoyoshi-gun, Miyagi Prefecture, which is in a Wordian marine horizon in Japan.
It was recombined as Waagenophyllum (Waagenophyllum) polyseptatum by Minato and Kato (1965).
