Taxonomy
Wentzelella persica was named by Douglas (1936). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kuh Gaikan, which is in a Guadalupian carbonate limestone in Iran.
It was recombined as Wentzelophyllum persicum by Hudson (1958); it was recombined as Ipciphyllum persicum by Minato and Kato (1965).
