Iranophyllum (Laophyllum) pongouaense
Taxonomy
Chonaxis pongouaensis was named by Mansuy (1912). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pong-Oua, near Luang Prabang, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in Laos.
It was recombined as Laophyllum pongouaense by Fontaine (1961); it was recombined as Iranophyllum (Laophyllum) pongouaense by Minato and Kato (1965).
