Taxonomy
Praewentzelella honjoi was named by Minato and Kato (1965). Its type specimen is UHR 18204 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Akasaka, Gifu Prefecture (Honjo collection), which is in a Wordian deep subtidal limestone in the Akasaka Formation of Japan.
