Chlorocyon phantasma
Taxonomy
Chlorocyon phantasma was named by Engelman et al. (2018). Its type specimen is SGOPV 6200, a mandible (associated left and right dentaries preserving fragments of the symphyseal region, the left and right lower canines and roots of right p1–3, along with natural ), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Los Helados, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial volcaniclastic in the Abanico Formation of Chile. It is the type species of Chlorocyon.
