Nesomomys bunodens
Taxonomy
Nesomomys bunodens was named by Beard et al. (2021). Its type specimen is EOU-UCF-9, a mandible (left dentary fragment preserving the crown of M1 and the roots of P4 and M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rejection Ravine, which is in a Lutetian fluvial horizon in the Uzunçarşidere Formation of Türkiye. It is the type species of Nesomomys.
