Archaeogaia macachaae
Taxonomy
Archaeogaia macachaae was named by Zimicz et al. (2020). Its type specimen is IBIGEO-P 73, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tonco Valley, which is in a Selandian/Thanetian floodplain sandstone in the Mealla Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Archaeogaia.
