Schweigert 2018 | Small- to very large-sized teudopseids; gladius length not necessarily as long as mantle length; posterior gladius (hence conus part) limpet-shaped, anteriorly with short projection or long rachis-like extension; lateral fields moderate to wide, extent posteriorly behind the apex form- ing the posterior part of the patella; median field there- fore reduced in length, not reaching posterior gladius end; median field area small to very small (ratio of median field area-to-gladius area < 0.40); free median field length, hyper- bolar zone length and position of patella apex variable; patella margin serrated or smooth; patella with or without dorsal ornamentation (tubercles, radiating ribs, spines), fins present; ink sac present. |
