D. R. Prothero 2008Medium- to small-sized blastomerycines (M1-3 length = 25-40 mm; p2-4 length = 13-19 mm) with hypsodont molars and very long rostrum and diastema. Premolars greatly reduced (about 30-40% of molar row length), with p2 lost or reduced to a peg in many individuals.
