Taxonomy
Epiaeschna wisseri was named by Nel et al. (2020). Its type specimen is PE 2000/5355-LS, a hindwing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Enspel, which is in a MP 28 crater lake shale/tuff in the Enspel Formation of Germany.
