Proetus (Bohemiproetus) magnicerviculus was named by Kobayashi and Hamada (1974). Its type specimen is PAt 7376, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Eremiproetus magnicerviculus by Stocker et al. (2019).
