Jordansegestria detruneo was named by Wunderlich (2015). Its type specimen is F2463/JB/CJW, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Jordanian Amber (Wunderlich collection), which is in an Albian terrestrial amber in Jordan.
It was recombined as Parvosegestria detruneo by Wunderlich (2020).
