Paleoeucnemis minutus was named by Muona (2020). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber (Muona collection, Finnish Museum of Natural History), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar. It is the type species of Paleoeucnemis.
