Heterochen pratensis
Taxonomy
Heterochen pratensis was named by Short (1970). Its type specimen is UNSM 5781, a limb element (tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Devil's Gulch Quarry, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Valentine Formation of Nebraska. It is the type species of Heterochen.
