Palaeophillipsia squamata

Taxonomy
Phillipsia squamata was named by Engel and Morris (1983). Its type specimen is AMF 80267, a cephalon/head (external mould of cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is NU L890. Nugra Road, south of Girvan, which is in a Tournaisian/Visean marine mudstone/siltstone in the Wootton Formation of Australia.

It was recombined as Palaeophillipsia squamata by Vanderlaan and Ebach (2015).
