Taxonomy
Calva (Calva) heliaca was named by Saul and Popenoe (1992). Its type specimen is LACMIP 8200 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LACMIP loc. 28788, Big Tar Canyon, which is in a Cenomanian marine conglomerate in the Panoche Formation of California.
