Taxonomy
Hyporhamphus (Reporhamphus) tatjanchenkoi was named by Bannikov et al. (2016). Its type specimen is GMSZK 23/52/00001, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tsurevsky, which is in a Sarmatian marine claystone in the Tsurevsky Formation of the Russian Federation.
