Taxonomy
Okanagrion beardi was named by Archibald and Cannings (2021). Its type specimen is TRU F-791, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is McAbee (University College of the Cariboo TRU coll), which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large mudstone in Canada.
